This is version 1.0.2 of KO!. Recently I posted a version 1.0 which had a problem with the startup-items folder. What happened was that none of the startup-items were opened on startup. How I missed this I really don't know, but it was thankfully brought to my attention and here is the fix. Otherwise it is identical to the earlier version.
If you have already installed the earlier version, then turn it off, remove the control panel, and the preferences file, along with KO! Folder, and trash them all. Then you can re-install the protection. Just replacing the control panel will have no effect at all.
If you haven't installed, then you don't need to bother with the above bit, just double-click to install.
